John L. Lengemann, J.D.

He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1963.  In 1968 he graduated from Wayne State University School of Law, Magna Cum Laude and ranked 2nd in a class of 220 students.  In 1968 he joined James D. Morrice and formed the firm of Morrice & Lengemann.  In 1977 he attended and graduated from the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.  He has extensive experience in family law matters, personal injury and death cases, criminal law, real estate law, probate and estate planning.  He is a frequent speaker on family law topics and has launched a software company to specifically assist family law attorneys.  John Lengemann has been recognized as one of the outstanding lawyers of eastern Michigan.  He served as president of the 40th Judicial Circuit Bar Association, president of the Lapeer County Bar Association, president of the Imlay City Rotary Club, president of the Imlay Area Chamber of Commerce.  John also served as a member of the Imlay City Commission, Imlay City Planning Commission, Imlay City Zoning Board of Appeals and Imlay City Housing Board of Appeals.  He has been recognized as the Citizen of the Year by the Imlay City Area Chamber of Commerce and the Rotarian of the Year by the Imlay City Rotary Club.
